Every once in a while, a color comes out of the dyepot and names itself.
Pickle Squirt is a bright, electric chartreuse green with enough personality to light up an entire project bag. The second this skein came out of the dye bath, there was really only one possible name.
Pickle Squirt was our cat, named by our youngest daughter when she was very little—and somehow this wonderfully ridiculous, cheerful green captured that name perfectly. Bright, mischievous, and just a little unexpected, it feels like the yarn equivalent of a cat getting into something it absolutely should not be getting into.
This color is fantastic when you want your knitting to make a statement. Use Pickle Squirt on its own for a gloriously bold hat, cowl, mittens, or sweater, or let it steal the show as an accent in colorwork. It also plays beautifully against deep neutrals, purples, blues, and earthy shades.
Pickle Squirt is one of those colors that doesn’t politely sit in your stash waiting to be noticed. It demands a project.
