Playing Favorites: Kat is a luminous aqua blue with cool turquoise undertones and a soft tonal wash that gives the color movement without taking away from its clarity. It’s fresh, energetic, and wonderfully cheerful—the kind of blue that instantly wakes up a project.

Kat—short for Katherine—is Evan’s close friend and someone our whole family has happily claimed as one of our own. She’s an actress, an openly autistic creative, and a passionate advocate for disabled people. She also hosts her own podcast, Breaking Boundaries, where she uses her voice to challenge assumptions and help make space for perspectives that too often go unheard.

And she isn’t exactly one to choose the quiet route onstage, either. Kat is currently taking on Brutus in Mindseye Productions’ all-female production of Julius Caesar, coming this fall to the Providence Theater. Bold role, bold woman, bold blue. This one just makes sense.

Choose your favorite yarn base and the quantity you need, and we’ll dye it especially for you. Please allow 7–10 days for your yarn to be dyed and ready to ship.

Perfect for: sweaters, cardigans, shawls, hats, socks, textured stitches, or colorwork that needs a bright, happy lift. It would pair beautifully with charcoal, navy, cream, deep purple, coral, or a warm golden yellow.

Each skein is hand-dyed in Vermont, so subtle variations between skeins are part of what makes your yarn uniquely yours. For larger projects, we recommend alternating skeins for the most beautifully blended result.
