It all begins with a dream.

A dream I never thought would evolve into anything more than a passing thought. I have loved yarn, fiber, knitting and crochet for many years, only really becoming proficient in the past few years when my mother-in-law and step-daughter reignited my passion for knitting. The feel of yarn moving through my hands and becoming a hat, a scarf, or a sweater for someone I love brings me great joy and a sense of accomplishment.

My journey to get here has brought me through many different worlds, all of which have contributed to the person I have become. With each step along this path I have learned new skills and met some amazing people who have inspired me and helped me move forward. My goal with Fox & Owl Dye Lab is to bring my love of fiber and color and put it in new hands so that this tradition of creation keeps moving forward into a new generation.

As we become more automated with AI and our needs are met simply by going online to order almost anything we need, the fiber crafts allow us to slow down and be thoughtful in our creations. For me, the time I spend knitting is reflective - almost spiritual. A time when my mind can wander while working on a straightforward pattern or it can provide me escape when I have to concentrate on a more complicated colorwork or stitch pattern.

However you come to the fiber arts and in whatever capacity, know that you are welcome here and we are over the moon happy to share our fiber and craft with all of you. No matter your skill level, goals, or participation level - we’re here to help you on your own journey to enjoy the companionship of the fiber arts.
